We are enthusiastic to continue our focus on providing a top notch bilingual education with excellent family support to support students and families today and for years to come, even as heavy as our hearts are to begin school remotely.
We have been planning to focus first on building positive relationships between families and teachers and on distributing technology. Teachers will be reaching out to families on Wednesday, August 26th to introduce themselves and schedule Family Connection Meetings. These meetings will take place on September 3rd, 4th and 8th and will be focused on sharing information, answering family questions and starting our distance learning process together .
Computer Devices: If you are new to Hilltop, have a student who didn’t receive one last year (including families with multiple students), or have a damaged device, you are welcome to come to this event. If you have a device that is still functioning properly we ask that you please stay home and continue using your device for school.

When will I know who my students’ teacher is?
Answer:

How do I get an electronic device for my student?
Answer: The event is on 9/2 from 9 AM to 4PM. What is a Family Connection Conference?
Answer:
The Family Connection Conference will last 30 minutes and be focused on teachers listening to learn how to best support students and families.
Question:
Do students need to wear a uniform to distance learning session. Do I need to buy a uniform?
Answer:
Of course, students may choose to wear their uniform if they like. However, at this time it is not required to wear a uniform to distance learning sessions. Families are not required to purchase uniforms – kids grow so quickly that they may not fit once we move into hybrid learning when the State permits at some point in the future.

La Conferencia de Conexión Familiar durará 30 minutos y es para que los maestros aprendan como apoyar mejor a los estudiantes y a las familias.

¿Necesitan los estudiantes usar un uniforme para la sesión de aprendizaje a distancia. ¿Necesito comprar un uniforme?
Respuesta:
Por supuesto, los estudiantes pueden elegir usar su uniforme si lo desean. Sin embargo, en este momento no es necesario para las sesiones de aprendizaje a distancia. Las familias no están obligadas a comprar uniformes – los niños crecen tan rápido que puede que no le queden una vez que pasemos al aprendizaje híbrido cuando el Estado lo permita.
