End-of-year report cards will be available soon. Find them in ParentVUE on the following dates:
- Elementary report cards: Available June 17
- Secondary report cards: Available June 25
A report card communicates a student’s learning progress during the grading period. All Highline schools use standards-based grading, and students’ scores will reflect this.
Elementary report cards are now available in the Report Card section of ParentVUE. They will also continue to be available in the Documents section to support families during this transition.
How to Access Report Cards
Report cards are available digitally through ParentVUE.
Previously, elementary and secondary report cards appeared in different locations in ParentVUE. Elementary report cards are now moving to the same location as secondary report cards.
- Elementary: Find report cards under the Report Card tab. They will also remain available under Documents during the transition. In the future, elementary report cards will be available in the Report Card section only.
- Secondary: Find report cards under the Report Card tab in ParentVUE.

About Standards-Based Grading
All Highline elementary schools use standards-based grading, which measures how well students are learning specific grade-level standards. Instead of traditional letter grades, you’ll see scores from 1 to 4 that show your child’s progress:
- 1: Beginning to understand
- 2: Making progress
- 3: Meeting the standard
- 4: Exceeding the standard
This approach focuses on learning over time, not just single assignments. Teachers will discuss your child’s progress and next steps during conferences. Learn more about Standards-Based Grading on our website.
